The New Haven room is located on the second floor of the main house, at the northwest corner of the house. Painted a deep hunter green, it is a large, elegant room with a rich, club-like feel. The room’s furnishings include a pencil post queen bed, a birdseye maple dresser, and a charming rustic farmhouse table. The New Haven room features original wide-plank pine floors, and its tall windows offer exquisite views of the village green and much of the village itself. On a clear day, you’ll catch views of the Adirondack Mountains fifteen miles to the west. The light in the New Haven room is lovely both in the morning, when the north-facing window catches some of the morning light, and in the afternoon, when the west-facing windows beautifully capture the light. Sunsets can be spectacular from the New Haven room, so plan to pull up one of the comfortable armchairs … and relax and enjoy!
The New Haven room is adjacent to the upstairs guest sitting area, which offers a guest computer and printer, as well as comfortable chairs for reading or easy conversation with friends and guests.
