We never actually got there, because our son's Middlebury hockey game was canceled at the last minute. Even though we were past our cancellation window, the Inn was very gracious about refunding our money. As far as the area goes, we've been to Middlebury often and it's a lovely area of Vermont. We would recommend it in Summer, Fall or Winter (haven't visited in the spring yet)!We will definitely book with the Inn on the Green again!

Lovely period Inn, sympathetically restored and totally up-to-date with wifi and satellite TV. Wonderful staff, very helpful, nice personal touches like a bouquet of flowers as we were staying over the holiday/Christmas period. Own parking. good position in town. Easy to find. All in all a very pleasant experience and we will be back.

Great location, charming, comfortable Inn! We were very lucky to get a room at the last minute on a very busy weekend in Middlebury. All the rooms in Middlebury were taken and we had decided to stay several miles away and drive in. Todd was fantastic in accommodating us and even held the room while he left me a message. We lucked out! The location was perfect. A short walk to just about everything in town and Middlebury College, although we drove to the college because it was cold. We stayed in the Addison which is a two room suite that accommodates up to 4. It was quite spacious. Both rooms were very warm and light due to the wall of windows. The bathroom has been updated and was unexpectedly quite modern, albeit a tad small. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept very well the two nights we were there. The staff is extremely accommodating and and was a big reason we had such a pleasant stay. Breakfast in your room and the always available coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and evening cookies are nice touches. This was our first visit to Vermont but we plan to return and stay at Inn on the Green for some good New England charm.

Friendly, clean, above and beyond service. Right in the center of town, the staff was friendly and helpful. Room clean and beautiful. Coffee and tea always available. A great selection for the breakfast that was delivered when we wanted it. It had snowed during the night and the parking lot was plowed AND they had shoveled around our car so we could easily get in. I highly recommend The Inn on the Green.

I have reserved rooms here for family members from out of town numerous times, and we have never been disappointed. This is a beautiful inn, and each room is unique, comfortable, cozy and welcoming - definitely a lovely home away from home for my relatives. It is centrally located to all the Town of Midddlebury has to offer, and directly across the street from the Town Hall Theater, which offers wonderful family entertainment year-round. When the innkeepers discovered it was my mother's 94th birthday, they sent a lovely young girl to deliver her a bouquet of flowers in a vase. Can't beat that! I highly recommend the Inn on the Green.

So relaxing and beautiful We arrived late at night because of a delayed flight. Parking was easy and pick up of the key for a late arrival was the quickest checkin ever We stayed in the carriage house. It was so clean. Everything about it was so comfortable Aveda products were in the bathroom Breakfast was fresh and healthy (of course I did have a chocolate croissant), fruit, bread, Greek yogurt, et. I hope to be back soon!

Our family of 4 stayed in the Addison room for a long weekend and we loved it. The room was clean and comfortable with a queen bed in the bedroom and a twin/trundle bed in the living room. The bathroom had Aveeda toiletries which was an appreciated amenity. Breakfast was great and can be eaten in the room (ordered the night before with a card in your door) or eaten in the main sitting area of the Inn. We were impressed with the local baked goods (great variety and all delicious) as well as local yogurt. The quality of the baked good was a step above what we expected. There is tea and popcorn and other snacks at night. The staff went above and beyond. The Inn is within walking distance of anything downtown like shops, the waterfall, some unique eateries, and the co-op (which we enjoyed). Overall, we had a great trip and felt like we had a good value at the Inn for the quality of the room, food, and service.

What a Lucky Find in the Center of Middlebury!! Due to a last minute cancellation, I was able to swap into this Inn during a weekend college championship swim meet hosted by MIddlebury College. The entire town was packed, but The Inn on the Green was a lovely respite from the chaos. The Bristol Suite was spacious and lovely. Although it was below freezing and it snowed twice, the walkways and stairs were totally clean and dry all weekend. The in-room breakfast options were AMAZING and delivered piping hot.... The coffee was fantastic, and I'm not sure where they found fresh berries in FEBRUARY, but I enjoyed every bite. The common area was charming, warm and FULL of plentiful healthy snacks that my swimmers and I noshed on all weekend long. The staff was remarkably sweet, accommodating and truly made us feel like part of the family... I was worried about the small parking lot, but it worked out fine every night.

Our daughter went to Middlebury College. Middlebury is a beautiful, small Vermont village but the amount of accommodations are limited. The first time I made reservations to drop her off for college Freshman Year, I found what I felt was the last room in town at Inn on the Green. That ended up being a lucky find. It is a beautiful Inn in the middle of town. It is walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The owner told me that her advice for college parents was, every time a parent visits their child during their four years at Middlebury College, stay at the same hotel to build a relationship so that when your child graduates, you have some ‘priority’ with the hotel for rooms. I told her ‘put us on the waitlist’ for graduation in four years. That was the best advice ever! We did stay there several visits a year for four years. The October Parents Weekend is in the middle of fall foliage season changing so a lot of competition for rooms with ‘leaf peepers’. I booked all our reservations a year in advance. The main house of the Inn is old and beautiful. All the rooms are different and well appointed with antiques and carpets. Each evening you hang a menu on your door of what you want for breakfast and the next morning it is delivered to your room. There is always coffee and cookies available. There is no evening service of bar or dinner, but one is within walking distance of many other opportunities. There is a second building that has four rooms in it. I have stayed in that building also. The rooms are just as quaint even though they are newer. This last year we stayed there, the ownership changed. But our last visit for our daughter’s graduation reflected that the warm hospitality has not changed. The new owners have partnered with some local vendors to have the option of amenities that were not there before. The Inn on the Green will make your Middlebury visit a very special one.

Wonderful staff, location, and experience This charming inn was a pleasure. Clean and with all the charm of an inn in an antique building, without being stuffy or fussy. Parking is easy. Attractions in old town Middlebury are right out the front door. The owner and staff were very friendly, hospitable, and attentive. Breakfast service was excellent, and the foods available are locally sourced and tasty.

Improving all the time! We have stayed at "The Inn" many times the past several years for a week each time. New owners doing a wonderful job updating the inn. Love the new breakfast/snack bar area. Staff always friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast in your room including selection of 3 hot meals now are so relaxing. We always book the Addison now - love the extra space and separate bedroom (former sunporch). This was our 2nd stay this year and plan on another week in November. The new downstairs suite for long term stay or with pets is a nice new addition as well - kitchen facilities in this suite for making your own meals, although area restaurants are great (Taste of India, American Flatbread, Rosie's, Fire & Ice are our favorites so far).
