The Cornwall room is located on the ground floor of the main house, just inside the back door. Painted pale peach, this is a tranquil, elegant room. Its furnishings include a cannonball-style queen bed and an antique drop-down writing desk. The bay window recess in the Cornwall room faces the village green and the Painter House to the north of the inn, offering a lovely private space to enjoy breakfast or afternoon tea. The room has beautiful light, both in the morning, when its east-facing window welcomes the morning sun, and in the afternoon, when the light is soft and filtered.
The Cornwall room is very convenient to both the reception/sitting room and the after-hours tea service. The location of the room makes it perfect for the guest who needs a non-suite accommodation in the main house, but prefers not to have to walk up the stairs.
