The Addison suite is located on the ground floor of the main house, just inside the front door. Addison is a two-room suite that can sleep up to four guests, offering a bedroom with a queen-size bed, as well as a generous sitting room with a daybed that becomes a twin bed when needed, as well as a trundle bed that becomes a second twin bed when made up. Of course, the suite also includes a private bathroom.
The Addison bedroom has exquisite light, with nearly full length windows on two walls. It’s painted a delicate yellow that perfectly complements the soft light that the room receives throughout the day. The large bedroom has two pretty braided rugs on the beautiful hardwood floors, as well as a comfortable armchair.
The large sitting room is painted a very deep, rich Federal blue and is an outstanding space that houses several beautiful antique pieces. By day, the daybed serves as a comfortable couch. By night, if sleeping space is needed, the same daybed makes into a very comfortable twin bed, while the trundle tucked underneath provides another twin bed for larger families or groups. Even with both beds set up for sleeping, there is still ample room in the sitting room for a table and two armschairs, as well as a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. When it’s time for breakfast, the server will set up an antique card table for your morning dining pleasure.
The Addison suite looks west, toward the Town Hall Theatre and beyond that, to the village and the college. It is very convenient to both the reception/sitting room and the after-hours tea service.
Please note in making your plans that there is no door separating the bedroom from the sitting room.
